Lymphoma Survivor

This is my son Christian Bienek,  When he was 9 years old, he was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma.

After 2 1/2 years of chemo, Christian went into remission on January 6, 2013. He is now 13 and doing well. He is my hero and my heart. He is a fighter and a survivor.

I lost my big brother Vincent J. Di Cristo to two forms of cancer on February 14, 2014. He apparently had both high grade B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma as well as Burkitt lymphoma. I’m very confused as to how he could have had two different types of cancer because as far as I know, he was always in good health.

Lymphoma Survivor

I am a 36-year-old cancer survivor. In February 2014, I found a suspect lump and had become unusually tired. I was a career-driven single mother of a very active 10-year-old boy, so when I say unusually tired it was time to call the doctor.

Lymphoma Survivor

I'm a survivor of aggressive B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma.  Seven cycles of R-CHOP reduced my tumor but did not kill it.  I am fortunate to have been referred to the City of Hope for a stem cell transplant which took place a year ago April 8, which is also the day our first grandchild was born.  So of the approximately 70,000 cases of non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2013, I'm one of the r

I’m a junior-ish chemistry major at Waynesburg University. The reason I say “junior-ish” is because on Mar 12, 2013, I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma, a blood cancer.  Because of this, I had to withdraw for two semesters of school during spring break of my junior year.

Lymphoma Survivor

I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in May of 2003.  The diagnosis came after three or four months of tests attempting to diagnose a lump from my neck (which was ultimately removed).  My wife and I were told that I had a disease that was considered treatable but not curable.  My particular sub-type, follicular, has a tendency to reoccur.  I was referred to MD

My story began in the summer of 2012.  My cancer-fighting hero, who happens to be my father in law, Dave Warner, was diagnosed that July.  Not only is he my father in law, but I call him Dad, because that is exactly what he is.
