The LLS Eastern PA-DE Region extends a special thank you to John & Jeanne Hubbard for their legacy commitment to establish The Bobby Zahurak Pediatric AML Research and Patient Support Fund, in honor of Bobby Zahurak. Bobby was diagnosed with AML in the summer of 2018, and after his 18-month hard-fought battle with leukemia, Bobby passed away in January 2020 at the age of 27. Bobby will be remembered for his loyalty to family and friends, free spirit, generous nature, positive outlook, and heartwarming smile.
The Fund will support pediatric acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and the LLS Pediatric Urgent Need Program. Read more

When Jeanne and John Hubbard got involved with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in 2015, they didn’t know how closely cancer would touch their lives. At that time, they committed support through the Red & White Ball, a special gala hosted by their local chapter. The decision made good sense, given John’s leadership of a biomedical company that advanced cancer imaging, as well as a distant family connection to leukemia.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) sponsors free community-based education programs for patients, their families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. Local doctors and other healthcare professionals lead these programs, described below.
