Hello, my name is Aryan. I am 13 years old. I was almost five years old when I first got diagnosed with cancer. It started as a normal summer like always, and we were planning to go somewhere. My dad was always traveling because of work, so it was just me and my mom.
In January 2014, Armaan celebrated his 5th birthday. He was tested for anemia a few days later at the urging of his pediatrician as he looked a little pale. Our world was rocked several hours later when the pediatrician called to notify us that Armaan had leukemia.
I was a nurse prior to getting diagnosed with cancer. When I was working I wondered to myself, how are my patients so strong laying in that hospital bed? Little did I know I was going to be one. At age 24, back in 2013, I was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).
Hi! My name is Campbell Brandt. I am 9 years old and a student at Spring Run Elementary School in Chesterfield County, Virginia. I love to dance, play softball, ride my scooter, sing karaoke, listen to music and watch the Disney channel. I like to dance and sing to Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood.
For the past nine years as a physician assistant, I have had the privilege of taking care of acute leukemia, high-risk lymphoma and bone marrow transplant patients at the Intermountain Blood and Marrow Transplant Program.
Our beautiful Janiyah was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) at 14 months old. Some will say by chance or luck, others say by the grace of God. Thirteen months earlier, Janiyah was diagnosed with hemoglobin C disease; simply defined as chronic anemia.
Laila was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) three months after her second birthday. She is the only girl and her three older brothers are very protective of her. She is our little Warrior Princess, in August, 2015, she reached remission and has been an inspiration to all who meet her. She is truly amazing. Our lives have forever been changed.
On March 8, 2012, our world changed forever.
I was at work when I got the call from my husband that I was to meet him and Kayleen at Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis. He said they found markers for leukemia in her blood work after testing for mononucleosis. Our oncologist was optimistic saying it was still “highly curable.”
Blake was recently diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), and is now in interim maintenance.
