T-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (T-NHL)

I was diagnosed with stage 4 T-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (T-NHL) nearly 20 years ago in March of 2002. By the grace and power of God and modern medicine, I have been cancer-free for the last 20 years!

The most important thing I'd like to share is that nothing is bigger than God, not even cancer. As God states in Jeremiah 23:37, "I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?" I was afraid of facing cancer, but the Lord wasn't. Coming to believe this and trust that He would guide me through this journey gave me the "peace that defies all understanding" and helped me to stay positive when all I felt was fear and anxiety about losing my wife and three sons, ages 5, 7, and 9. My particular cancer had a survival rate of less than 25%, tough odds for a young father to face on his own. Trusting God led me to an amazing oncologist who told me, "Rob, your faith is absolutely essential to your healing." He understood that trusting in God while getting the best medical treatment was the path that would give me the best chance of fighting and winning my battle with cancer. Believe that you are curable and that nothing is impossible with God!
