I have a unique story. In 1978 after being married for three weeks, my wife was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Seven months later she passed away.

Fast forward, I remarried in 1985. In 2003, my second wife was diagnosed with ALL. You can't make this story up. She is today a 19-year survivor thanks to the great doctors and nurses at Froedtert Hospital but perhaps more so from the advances in treatment, treatment that is a direct result of the work of The Leukemia &  Lymphoma Society (LLS). The events that they sponsor raise funds for these life-saving procedures.

My wife and I are preparing for our 13th year riding in the Scenic Shore 150 Bike Tour, a wonderful event with so many inspiring stories.
