acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL)

Born in Egypt, at the age of three, me and my family immigrated to the U.S. when I was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). I grew up in Long Island, New York, where I received treatment for 10 years. On my 13th birthday, I underwent brain surgery and remains cancer-free.

I have an undergraduate degree in Accounting from SUNY Geneseo and an MBA from Fordham University with dual concentrations in Management and Finance. Navigating the professional world at the height of a financial crisis, I started his career at J.P. Morgan where he held various titles at the organization across the Investment Bank and Asset Management. I was a member of J.P. Morgan’s 2017 Met Club and was recognized for my work as a leader within the sales organization. In a career shift that has been deemed notoriously challenging, I made the leap from finance to tech in 2019 when I became an Account Executive at Salesforce.

Outside of my career I am passionate about health and fitness. I am an Iron Man and a four-time marathoner. Beyond competing as a participant, I have led charitable campaigns for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) Team in Training (TNT) raising over $100,000 since 2017.

In 2019, I added author to my list of accolades with the debut of my self-published memoir, Break Barriers. I wrote this book with the objective of giving readers a tool to channel their mindset to overcome obstacles whether they be personal, professional, or on the playing field.
