Join LLS in participating in one of our physical or social challenges on Facebook to raise funds for blood cancer patients and their families.
During a Challenge, participants will be asked to complete a specific activity while raising money for LLS. Participants will be connected in a dedicated Facebook group created for the Challenge supported by LLS.

Yes, it is free to participate in the Challenge. We encourage you to fundraise and share your progress alongside the Challenge to support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society mission. 100% of funds raised go directly to LLS.
Facebook Challenges are virtual challenges that can be done by anyone with a Facebook account. To register, join the specific Facebook group for the challenge you want to participate in. Each challenge includes a pinned post at the top of the group with instructions on how to get your fundraiser started. Make the challenge your own and complete your activity wherever and whenever works best for you. We’re grateful to have everyone involved at their own level of comfort.
Creating a team is a fun way to stay motivated throughout your challenge! You can create a team any time by typing "menu" and tapping "Go to Challenge Hub." Then click on “Create Team” to get started.
Tap the "+" icon in the upper-righthand corner of your team leaderboard to invite people. This will create a referral link you can forward to your teammates via Messenger.
Once your friend clicks the referral link, they will go through the registration process. You will then be able to see them in the Team Dashboard, where you can view your team's activity and fundraising progress.
You can manage your team from the Challenge Hub. Simply click the gear icon and follow the prompts from there.
To change team captains, the current captain can select a team member, then click on the gear icon & select "Promote to Captain." If the team captain wants to leave, they tap "Leave team," and the leadership will be passed on to the next team member.
Please note, each individual is encouraged to complete the activity for the month and log their activity as individuals. It can take 24-72 hours for new Facebook fundraiser donations to reflect in your team's progress.
You can begin logging your activity when the monthly challenge begins. When you join the Facebook Challenge you can start your fundraiser right away. You can log your progress in Facebook Messenger by typing “Menu” then hitting enter, and then click the “Record Activity" button.
First, try and use the “Made a mistake?” button on the menu. Type “Menu” then enter, and choose “Log miles" then "Made a mistake?” Only enter digits when prompted, no words. If you are still having trouble, let us know in Facebook Messenger by typing “Chat with Human” and then advising your miles are still wrong after using the “Made a mistake?” button.
If you registered for the challenge in Messenger and met the qualifying fundraising amount in your Facebook fundraiser, we have your details and will be sending out your reward soon. Please allow 2 to 4 weeks for delivery. If you haven't already registered in Messenger, please do so we have your address.
Yes, thank you for supporting LLS! A Facebook fundraiser is the same as a fundraiser for one of our challenges.
