Bridge Investment Group’s Jeff Shaw named Corporate Council Chair

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) Georgia - South Carolina Region is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeff Shaw, Partner of Bridge Investment Group (Bridge) and the Chief Executive Officer of Bridge Commercial Real Estate (BCRE), as the Chairman of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Corporate Council, a national group of volunteer senior executive leaders with a goal to generate new business partnerships for LLS. Over the past 4 years, Jeff Shaw has served in various leadership roles for LLS and in doing so has helped Bridge Investment Group become a National Partner for LLS. In 2021 Bridge Investment Group's impact on LLS was over $225,000, making it their biggest year yet in fundraising.

Bridge is a leading, vertically integrated real estate investment manager with approximately $31.8 billion of assets under management as of September 30, 2021. Bridge combines its nationwide operating platform with dedicated teams of investment professionals focused on select U.S. real estate verticals: multifamily, affordable housing, seniors housing, office, development, logistics net lease, logistics properties, debt strategies and agency mortgage-backed securities.

An Atlanta native, Mr. Shaw has 27 years of direct experience in commercial office real estate brokerage, leasing, and operational oversight in executive and leadership positions. He provides office leasing demand analysis and marketing strategies while overseeing the firm’s national property management and leasing operations. Shaw leads more than 180 employees at Atlanta-based Bridge Commercial Real Estate, the office operating platform of Bridge Investment Group, and is responsible for more than 14 million square feet of commercial office space in markets across the U.S.

“I am humbled and greatly honored to accept the position of Corporate Council Chair for LLS, which is a beacon of hope and encouragement for so many patients and families across our country,” said Shaw. “Many of my team members at Bridge Investment Group and I know firsthand the physical and emotional challenges that come with the cancer diagnosis of a friend, colleague, family member or ourselves, and that insight provides the drive and motivation that my team at Bridge and I will be needed to spur our peers and partners in the business community to follow Bridge’s lead to an even greater level of involvement in the quest for a cure. There is much work to do in cancer research for adults and children, not to mention STEM training and sorely needed emotional and financial support of cancer patients and their families.  I look forward to working with the other board members in the next chapter of our journey together in 2022.”

Prior to joining Bridge in 2016, Shaw served as CEO and co-founder of Fairlead Commercial Real Estate from 2012 to 2016 and President of Jackson Oats Shaw Corporate Real Estate from 2004 to 2012. He has held senior leasing positions with brokerage companies Insignia/ESG (CBRE) from 1998 to 2003, Compass Management & Leasing (JLL) from 1997 to 1998, and Cushman & Wakefield from 1994 to 1997, where he was responsible for direct leasing and oversaw over 16 million square feet of many of the Southeast’s largest urban and suburban office buildings. He works closely with an extensive national network of tenants, brokers, clients, and leasing teams to source opportunity and drive portfolio value.

As part of LLS’ strategic priorities to accelerate blood cancer cures, Mr. Shaw will be working with LLS to grow large scale corporate relationships as well as leading the effort to help generate new business for LLS. As Chair of the Corporate Council, Mr. Shaw will lead a group of executive volunteers as they strive to bring in new partnerships to LLS with a goal to reach $50 million in revenue by 2025.

Through his internal and external philanthropic efforts, Shaw has developed strong relationships with the business and brokerage community. Earlier this year he was appointed to serve on the Board of Directors for the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce.   He has also served extensively for the Atlanta Commercial Board of REALTORS (ACBR) in various positions such as director, chair of the Community service Committee, Awards Committee, The Million Dollar Club, as well as receiving the ACBR's prestigious Phoenix Award, President’s Award in 2018 and the Community Service Award in 2021.
