Executive Vice President, Chief Campaign & Field Development Officer

As the head of campaign & field development, George Omiros provides strategic direction and overall management of LLS's chapters and their campaign activities, including LLS's core campaigns: Team In Training, Light The Night Walk, Man & Woman of the Year and School & Youth programs in the United States and Canada. He joined LLS in 1988 and served as executive director of the Western Pennsylvania & West Virginia office. He concurrently served LLS as a national marketing representative, group director, national director of major gifts, national director of community campaigns, national director of federated campaigns, and since 2008 as senior vice president of field development. A certified fund raising executive, Omiros is a charter member and past president of the WPA Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and was named its 1990 Outstanding Fund Raising Executive. He's also a certified association executive by the American Society of Association Executives and a founding member of the Pittsburgh Planned Giving Council. He has more than 33 years of combined experience with LLS and the American Heart Association. He's taught college and community programs in his many areas of expertise. Omiros was bestowed the title of Archon Orphanotrophos as a member of the "Order of Saint Andrew the Great" by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America and Ecumenical Patriarchate of Istanbul, Turkey.
