Zachary Hunter is the associate director of the Bing Center for Waldenstroms at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute where he leads the genomics and computational biology research program. He graduated from Haverford College with a degree in Mathematics and holds a PhD in Pathology from the Boston University School of Medicine. He has since specialized in the study of Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia and has published over 100 peer reviewed papers in the field including the initial descriptions of the MYD88, CXCR4, and ARID1A mutations in Waldenstroms, along with their clinical, therapeutic and transcriptional impact. He is the recipient of an American Society of Hematology Scholar award and the Robert Kyle award for extraordinary contributions to WM research.
