Karin Tarte, PhD

Karin Tarte is an immunologist working in Rennes in the Northwest France. After a training and early career focused on multiple myeloma, she joined Rennes Medical School in 2004 and became full professor in Immunology in 2007, working on one of the most frequent lymphoma called Follicular Lymphoma. She is now heading the Immunology Department of Rennes University Hospital and a research team gathering clinicians and biologists dedicated to basic and translational research in the field of lymphoma. She is involved in several research and clinical programs dealing with the understanding of the role of tumor microenvironment and how it could be a target for new therapeutic strategies and/or provide predictive and prognostic biomarkers. As a PI and co-investigator she had the opportunity to develop fruitful collaborations with national and international partners leading to publications of highly cited papers and contributing to the design of new clinical trials sponsored by the Lymphoma Study Association (LYSA).
