Dr. Iancu-Rubin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology, Molecular and Cell-Based Medicine and the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology of the Tisch Cancer Institute at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. She is a former Fulbright Scholar and received her doctorate in Life Sciences, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Bucharest in Romania. Dr. Iancu-Rubin is the Director of the Cellular Therapy Laboratory which supports hematopoietic stem cell transplant services and other cell-based therapies at Mount Sinai Hospital. She has been lead investigator on NIH-funded, foundations and institutional projects as well as on industry-sponsored studies. Her research includes studies of blood-forming cells within the bone marrow in normal and diseased conditions. Dr. Iancu-Rubin has co-authored important preclinical and clinical studies aimed at improving treatment and finding new therapeutic targets in blood cancer.
