Gelatin Splash

THANK YOU
FOR SUPPORTING THE GELATIN SPLASH!

THE LEUKEMIA & LYMPHOMA SOCIETY THANKS OUR MOST GENEROUS COMMUNITY FOR HELPING TO RAISE $93,127 AT THE GELATIN SPLASH TO FIGHT BLOOD CANCERS!

CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE 2008 GELATIN SPLASH PHOTO GALLERY!

On Friday, June 20, 2008 at the Buffalo/Niagara Marriott Hotel, 93 caring participants raised funds to "Splash" into 1,000 gallons of jiggly "Tropical Fusion" Jell-O in honor of local cancer patients! Each participant had the opportunity to share the reason why they are splashing, and the stories were very warm and inspirational.

We truly appreciate the support of all splashers, sponsors, donors, volunteers and spectators! Thank you for helping to advance our mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

Funds raised support our programs of blood cancer research and local patient aid & services. Our Chapter currently funds six researchers who do their work at Roswell Park Cancer Institute and the University of Rochester. There are over 2200 patients registered with us. Each is eligible to receive up to $500 per year in direct financial reimbursement to assist with costs not covered by insurance. Patients can also receive help through educational programs, support groups, and many other patient services.

Splashers needed to raise a minimum of $300 to participate, but many went above and beyond in their efforts to raise funds to fight blood cancers. Prizes were awarded to the top 19 fundraisers.

THANK YOU & CONGRATULATIONS TO THE TOP 19 FUNDRAISERS!

SPECIAL THANKS to Forrest Weaver, Grand Prize Winner, who raised $12,613 to become the Top Fundraiser for the third consecutive year! His dedication to fighting blood cancers is remarkable and we truly appreciate his support!
