Ways To Help

The Word:

Skyhook Challenge

There's lots of buzz about a new promotion between LLS and Novartis, one of our longtime pharmaceutical partners. It's called the Skyhook Challenge and we want you in on it!

Tipping off the competition is Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, the National Basketball Associations (NBA) all-time leading scorer, with 38,387 points. Kareem is a chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) survivor and spokesperson for our LLS partner, Novartis.

The Skyhook Challenge is an APP for smart-phones that will launch on April 9th during half-time at the game between the LA Lakers and the New Orleans Hornets at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Every time a person answers a question correctly about LLS, CML or Kareem, they will earn a point. Novartis will donate one dollar for every point up to $38,387 (the number of Kareem's lifetime career points).

Here's how you can get in the game and help the promotion earn more dollars for patients. We'd like your help in matching the goal or double down! Donate now and get a jump shot on reaching our matching goal of $38,387!

If 1,000 LLS supporters donate just $38.39 or more, we will beat the goal of the Skyhook Challenge and double up the impact for blood cancer patients. With your help in reaching our matching goal, funding for treatments that are saving the lives of patients today will continue.
