Knowing the patient's subtype is important for making treatment decisions. There are two main Hodgkin lymphoma subtypes. About 95 percent of patients with Hodgkin lymphoma have classic Hodgkin lymphoma. The other main type is nodular lymphocyte-predominant Hodgkin lymphoma.
