For the past 29 years, the Leukemia Ball has reigned as one of Greater Washington, D.C.’s largest, non-political black tie events. The Leukemia Ball has raised over $52 million for the National Capital Area Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society since it began in 1988. Having grown from 375 guests to more than 2,000, the Leukemia Ball presents star-studded entertainment that in past years has included Jerry Seinfeld, Sinbad, Lionel Richie, Jay Leno, Hootie & The Blowfish, Earth, Wind & Fire, Foreigner, Huey Lewis & The News and Diana Ross!
Planning for the Leukemia Ball is spearheaded by an Executive Committee, led by Sr. co-Chair Ed Offterdinger, Executive Managing Partner with Baker Tilly, and Wayne Berson, CEO of BDO. The volunteer committee includes more than 50 high-ranking executives representing several major corporations in the Washington D.C. area. These companies include Deloitte, Baker Tilly, NRUCFC, General Dynamics, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Northrop Grumman, Ernst & Young, KPMG, and many more.
The 2016 event is expected to raise more than $3 million. For sponsorship information or to learn more, contact Korey Lindesmith at Korey.Lindesmith@lls.org, or (703) 399-2957.
