Gabriel's Story
In 2007, Gabriel Rodriguez was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia when he was just 1 1/2 years old. Today, Gabriel is doing well and is on maintenance chemo. His blood cancer is nearly in remission, attributed to the effective chemotherapies and other treatments.
Not only has Gabriel regained his strength for walking, but now he can also participate in many normal activities that other children his age enjoy. Through it all, Gabriel's passion for drums hasn't waned as he continues to develop his drum skills with grace. "We are grateful to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for information, support and resources, such as the Family Support Group program and patient financial aid they extended to our family. Those resources have made a world of difference to us. Thank you!"
