Innovations in Patient Services

An estimated 912,938 Americans are now living with, or are in remission from leukemia, Hodgkin lymphoma, NHL or myeloma. LLS offers the most comprehensive array of services to blood cancer patients and their families. Last year alone, LLS made 6.3 million contacts with patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals

Information Resource Center

Only LLS provides individualized information to patients and their caregivers about blood cancers, resources, treatments and other critical issues. This is accomplished through our Information Resource Center, which responded to 80,000 queries in 2008.

Pediatric Cancers

We have created and implemented an innovative program, The Trish Greene Back to School Program for Children with Cancer, to help smooth the way for children returning to school after cancer treatment, with education and tools for teachers and school personnel.

Co-Pay Assistance Program

LLS also provides financial support and co-pay assistance to patients with blood cancers, helping them access treatments and drugs they otherwise might not be able to afford. LLS is a leader in encouraging all patients to consider clinical trials, which offer enhanced care and, for some, the only hope for a positive outcome.
