Ken Burns Presents "CANCER: THE EMPEROR OF ALL MALADIES" Directed by Barak Goodman
We have a national day of giving thanks. We have two "national" days for getting bargains. Now, we have #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, December 2, 2014, charities, families, businesses, community centers and students around the world will come together for one common purpose to give and celebrate generosity.
Hope is our favorite four letter word. Without hope, the five-year survival rate for children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), the most commonly diagnosed leukemia, would not be 90%. Without hope, 1.1 million people would not be living with or be in remission from a blood cancer. Hope has made these statistics a reality.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) stands on hope because of supporters like you. Your generosity brings us closer to a day when cancer is no longer part of our lives. Please give what you can, and know that your contribution is making a difference. Thank you for making a contribution during this giving season to allow someday to be today.
