Position Title: Campaign Manager, Man & Woman of the Year
Position Location: Wisconsin Chapter - Brookfield, WI or Madison, WI Office
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services. Since its founding in 1949, LLS has invested more than $814 million for research specifically targeting blood cancers.
What is the Man & Woman of the Year?
Each year, in communities across the country, dynamic, passionate candidates engage in a spirited competition to earn The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's "Man & Woman of the Year" titles, by raising funds for blood cancer research. The candidates compete in honor of children who are local blood cancer survivors, the Boy & Girl of the Year. Every dollar counts as one vote and the titles are awarded to the man and woman with the most votes at the end of ten weeks; the top local fundraisers in the country win the national titles.
Responsible for managing the statewide Man & Woman of the Year fundraising campaign including: strategic planning, budgeting and the complete implementation for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in Wisconsin. The goal for FY 2014 will be to recruit a minimum of 20 candidates and raise $500,000.
Works under the supervision and direction of the Executive Director, requiring management approval for activities outside the annual Plan of Operation.
