Erie and Niagara Insurance Association

 

The Western & Central New York Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) will present its 2014 ?Service to Mankind? Award to Norman Orlowski, Jr., in recognition of his outstanding leadership and dedication to advance the mission of LLS in curing leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and Hodgkin?s disease, and improving the quality of life of patients and their families.

 

Mr. Orlowski will be recognized at the 22nd Annual Diamond Ball on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at Samuel?s Grande Manor.

 

An active member of the community, Mr. Orlowski has provided personal leadership and financial support for the local LLS chapter.  Since joining the board of trustees in 2004, he has received numerous awards from the chapter including ?Rookie of the Year,? ?Supporting Trustees,? ?Top Fundraising Trustee? and ?Volunteer of the Year.?   

 

Mr. Orlowski has twice chaired The Leukemia Cup Golf Classic and the Gelatin Splash, and has served on the fundraising committees for both the Diamond Ball and Light The Night Walk.  Orlowski is also a past Chapter President and delegate to the National Board of Representatives.

 

 ?Norm Orlowski has been an outstanding volunteer for our Chapter, raising significant funds to help advance our mission.  His dedication, compassion, and willingness to lead by example is amazing, and his generosity is greatly appreciated by our patients who benefit from his efforts.  We are truly honored to recognize Norm with this prestigious award, which he greatly deserves,? said Nancy Hails, executive director of the Chapter.

 

Mr. Orlowski is President of Erie and Niagara Insurance Association, and has over 25 years of insurance, finance, and accounting experience.

 

He received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Canisius college. Prior to joining Erie and Niagara Insurance Association, he was a senior manger in Audit Services at KPMG LLP. Mr. Orlowski resides in Clarence with his wife, Paula.
