Last year, LLS surpassed a major milestone: we have now funded more than $1 Billion of research Organization-wide! Locally, the Western & Central New York Chapter funds TWO research projects in the Chapter area and services over 5,000 local patients; by providing patient serviced such as support groups, peer to peer counseling, and educational programs. And with your help, our research funding has touched the discovery of enarly every therapy currently used to treat blood cancers. You OWN this progress! You have helped to make it happen!

As April 12-18 is National Volunteer Week, we would like to take this opportunity to personally thank you for your dedication and service to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Like all nonprofits, LLS relies on volunteers, our unsung heroes, to help in its quest to find cures and ensure access to treatment for all blood cancer patients.


From assisting with fundraising efforts, to running family support groups, to serving on our local board, and in all the many ways you give your time and energy to LLS - each of you plays a key role in helping patients, families, and caregivers who are dealing with blood cancers.

 About the Western & Central New York Chapter

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Western & Central New York Chapter currently funds four blood cancer research projects in our region. We also service over 4,000 local patients, who are can receive support through our financial aid programs, support groups, peer counseling, educational programs, and many other patient services.

We service residents who have been touched by the blood cancers: leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma, in the following counties: 

Allegany, Broome, Cattaraugus, Cayuga, Chautauqua, Chemung, Chenango, Cortland, Erie, Genesee, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Livingston, Monroe, Niagara, Oneida, Onondaga, Ontario, Orleans, Oswego, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben,
