Nashville-Family Support Group

The family support group for patients, family members and friends in the Nashville area who are coping with leukemia, myeloma, Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma and myelodysplastic syndromes, is held on the second Tuesday of every month at 6 PM.  The meetings are held at Gilda's Club, located at 1707 Division Street in Nashville, TN, and is facilitated by Claire Hargis, LMSW.  For additional information, call (615) 342-4629. All meetings are held free of charge.  Gilda's Club requests that all interested parties call ahead to (615) 329-1124 if attending.

Family Support Groups are based on the idea that communication is important throughout the cancer journey.  With professional guidance, patients and family members can discuss their anxieties and concerns with others who share their experience.  This sharing strengthens the family bond and enhances everyone's ability to cope with cancer.
