Over 100,000 Americans were newly diangosed with a blood cancer in 2010.  The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society remains dedicated to supporting patients until the number one goal of finding a cure is met.

Total number of new cases of blood cancers in the US, 2010:
-Leukemia: 43, 050
-Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma: 65,540
-Myeloma: 20,180
-Hodgkin Lymphoma: 8,490
-Myelodysplastic Syndromes: 11,945
Total number of new cases of blood cancers for San Diego, 2010:
-Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma: 500
-Leukemia: 310
-Myeloma: 130

-Patient Financial Aid (PFA) distributed to San Diego patients: $43,050.00/287 patients
-Patient Financial Aid (PFA) distributed to Hawaii patients: $20,700.00/138 patients
-First connection volunteer matches for San Diego patients: 59
-First connection volunteer matches for Hawaii patients: 34
-Number of patients attending family support groups in San Diego: 143, 22 groups
-Number of paients attending family support groups in Hawaii: 144, 12 groups
-Number of patients attending education programs in San Diego: 347
