The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society currently has an opening for a contract position as a Manger ? Fundraising Specialist on the Team in Training Campaign in the Boise area.  Team in Training is the largest fundraising campaign for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  In the past 25 years, Team in Training has inspired more than 570,000 participants to raise over 1.3 billion dollars for blood cancer patients and research as they have trained to run/walk a marathon, cycle a century ride or complete a triathlon.

Position Title: Contract Campaign Manager ? Team in Training
Position Location:  Boise, Idaho

Basic Function: Responsible for marketing, lead generation and event management (both recruitment and team events) in the Boise metro area. You will be responsible for creating and executing a plan for lead generation and marketing. This is a contract position to begin in March 2014 and last until June 2014. 
Work Direction: Works under the supervision, direction and training of the Team in Training Campaign Director to accomplish assigned duties and responsibilities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Marketing/Recruitment

  • Develop and execute a marketing/recruitment plan for each season. Marketing platforms used include social media sites, brochures, targeted email messaging and grassroots marketing
  • Manage all logistics for information sessions and other recruitment event
  • Create and manage primary communications (phone calls, mailings, emails, etc.) to ensure the success of recruitment events and to enhance public awareness of TNT, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and its mission
  • Develop and manage the follow up communication from all meetings, including outreach to attendees and no-shows
  • Maintains a working knowledge of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society mission and other campaigns
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned 
  • Cultivate ongoing relationships with event management and race directors to ensure the best execution of all race day logistics
  • Recruit and communicate with volunteers to assist at events
  • Prepare elements of campaign materials required for the successful implementation of assigned special events

Requirements:

  • Must have a Bachelors Degree and at least 3 years related work experience.
  • Marketing, recruitment and/or sales experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in management of event logistics, fundraising, and/or marketing preferred
  • Strong communication, follow up, organizational skills and professional demeanor
  • Must possses the ability to work with a team or independently, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, while maintaining attention to detail
  • Skilled in computer operations and use of computer programs
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends
  • A valid drivers license and clear driving record
