Position Title: Campaign Assistant, Team In Training (Part-time, Temporary Position 15 -25 hrs a week)
Location:  Oklahoma Chapter

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services. Since its founding in 1949, LLS has invested more than $814 million for research specifically targeting blood cancers.
What is the Team In Training?  Team In Training® is one of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's signature fundraising campaigns nationwide which trains volunteers to fundraise and train for endurance events inclusive of marathons, triathlons, century bike rides and hikes. We are currently looking for an energetic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join our team.

Basic Function:

  • Oversee all local aspects of Team in Training (TNT)
  • Provide input into the development of a strategic plan for the fundraising campaign including: fundraising goals, budget recommendations, vendors, volunteer goals, and timelines.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the on-going fundraising campaign, including fundraising efficiency (cost/expense), community engagement, event satisfaction, and overall success of the campaign.
  • Act as an on-site manager during the campaign fundraising event, overseeing activities, vendors, and volunteers to ensure satisfaction of participants, and resolutions of problems.
  • Develop positive volunteer interactions through recruitment, mentoring, and providing support for fundraising goals, while focusing on the mission of LLS.
  • Identify and network with corporations, community groups, and key donors to promote the fundraising campaign.
  • Identify and network with vendors to secure the best rate or donation of services needed for the campaign.
  • Develop/modify marketing materials (brochures, recruitment pieces, promotional flyers) to promote the fundraising campaign.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the LLS's mission and programs to promote the Society's fundraising, research, and patient initiatives.
  • Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.

Education/Certifications/Licenses:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Possession of a valid Drivers License
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Chapter's area

Experience Requirements:

  • 2 years fundraising, communications, sales, marketing, event planning
  • Able to supervise groups of volunteers
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Relationship driven
  • Entrepreneurial spirit

  • In order to perform this job successfully an individual must meet the physical requirement necessary to complete the essential job duties.

  • May be required to move Campaign materials weighing up to 15 pounds for various events.
