The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) sponsors free community-based education programs for patients, their families, caregivers and healthcare professionals.

Local doctors and other healthcare professionals lead these programs, described below. You will get information about treatment options and learn how to strengthen your decision-making and coping skills, manage treatment side effects and find resources, including financial assistance.

Massage Myths and Facts

Can massage help or hurt you during cancer treatment?  During this program we will dispel massage myths and analyze massage facts, including research currently being conducted on this topic by experts at major cancer centers across the country.  Included in this program will be a list of free resources and deeply discounted complementary therapies available in Dallas.  Presented by 15-year licensed massage therapist and 10-year cancer survivor, Cindy Spence, MPH, LMT.
