Position Title: Graphic Design Intern
North Texas Chapter
Dallas, Texas

Position Summary

LLS is seeking a talented graphic design student who can manage a design project from start to finish.  This individual must be able to juggle multiple projects at once and comfortable converting an idea from a vision to a finished product.  This is a great opportunity to experience working in a nonprofit environment while also building a portfolio of work.

Responsibilities

• Design clear and engaging graphic communication material for print and the web
• Work closely with staff to translate their messaging concepts into marketing materials
• Presents ideas to staff
• Assist in helping develop new ways to incorporate a graphic design across different communication mediums
• Design ads for various publications
• Develops a working knowledge of the LLS mission

Position Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a four year institution
• Profiecient in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Publisher
• Must possess strong typography and layout skills
• Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
• Professional demeanor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of MS Office and database management
• Ability to work in a team environment while also able to work independently
• Must be able to dedicate 15-20 hours per week.  Work hours are flexible in order to work around class schedules.
• This internship is unpaid.  Potential for class credit is available pending school approval.
