Silver Linings Conference: A Survivorship Program for Cancer Patients and Survivors Over 50 and Their Families/Caregivers

The National Capital Area Chapter of LLS will be hosting its First Annual Over 50 Conference in an effort to address the specific  needs for older adult cancer patients. This full-day conference is aimed at reaching cancer patients 50+ years to help build a community of support and offer educational information on relevant topics.  The conference is open to patients and survivors with any type of cancer. Potential topics include: making informed choices about care; health care reform, co-morbidity and managing chronic illnesses; finances and retirement; managing Medicare, side effects and long term effects; dietary needs and nutrition; intimacy issues; and faith and spirituality.
