Employer of the Year

Congratulations to Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund for being the

2015 Employer of the Year Award!

The Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund (MAIF) was created by the Maryland State Legislature in 1972 for the purpose of providing automobile liability insurance for those residents of the State of Maryland who are unable to obtain it elsewhere in the private insurance market

They were nominated because of their outstanding dedication to helping and improving the quality of life of a blood cancer patient. An employee of MAIF was devestated when she learned that her daughter had been diagnosied with ALL.  She needed to focus on her daughter and her family and worrying about her job and income would have been an additonal burden.  But MAIF did everything possible and more to support this employee and her family. They provided work flexibility, remote working opportunities, other employees donated sick leave, they brought the family home cooked meals and provided constant support and understanding

In recognition of their amazing support for an employee and her family coping with a blood cancer diagnosis, MAIF will receive recognition at an awards luncheon.  They will also receive recognition at LLS campaign events and tickets to an LLS sponsored event.

Congratulations also go to our Honorable Mention:
