Donor Development Intern

Position Title: Donor Development Intern

Description: The donor development intern will report to the director of development and/or development manager. She/he will be responsible for supporting activities which fall under the purview of donor development and special projects.

 Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prospect research, including individuals, corporations and foundations.
  • Event support, non-campaign events only.
  • Organization of current donor development files.
  • Creation of a grant calendar for FY13.
  • Creation of spreadsheet showing donors based on necessary disease updates.
  • Data entry.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a two- or four-year institution and demonstrate excellent academic progress.
  • Basic familiarity with fundraising and grant writing strongly preferred.
  • 15 hours of weekly availability.
  • Strong written and excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to adapt to new assignments and deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a team environment while also possesses the ability to work independently.
