Light The Night Walk Hits Goal of $780,000

-- On Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, The Gateway Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) hosted their 13th Annual Light The Night Walk.

8,000 friends, families and co-workers from fundraising teams walked in this event, which will fund lifesaving research and support for people battling blood cancer. Their efforts culminated in an inspirational and memorable evening walk.

"We had 500 teams fundraising for this event, but on Sept. 23 they became one team for one goal: to help patients with blood cancers live better, longer lives by finding a cure," says Debbie Kersting, Executive Director of The Gateway Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Light The Night, which raised $780,000, was possible in special part to multiple community partners, including:
