Team In Training - Join the thousands of runners, walkers, cyclists, hikers, and triathletes who will participate in the world's major marathons, half marathons, centuries, hiking adventures and triathlons this year. TNT is currently recruiting for our upcoming summer season. TNT prepares participants through a flexible program that provides four to five months of training under the guidance of a certified coach, and clinics on nutrition, injury prevention, gear and other essentials to prepare for a sports endurance event. In return, participants raise money to find new and better therapies for blood cancer patients, and support services to help improve patients' lives. Once you sign up, you'll be training with our huge network of certified coaches who will have weekly group runs with you and your team. You'll even have mentors for fundraising support as well as your own website for online fundraising. To learn more, contact Jennie.Brewster@LLS.org. For details, visit: www.teamintraining.org/ga
Man & Woman of the Year - A Champion's Cause
Whether moved by a personal experience with blood cancer or motivated to make an impact, there are men and women all over this country committing their support to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Man & Woman of the Year campaign.
Each candidate connects with family, friends and business contacts for as much support as possible to be awarded the title of Man or Woman of the Year. It's a title that goes beyond just winning, it's one that brings significant research possibilities, saving the lives of patients in need. It's an honor that brings so much hope for so many people. Get Involved. Raise your hand and compete for Man & Woman of the Year. Lives depend on it. For more information, click here.
Light The Night Walk - The 2014 Savannah Light The Night Walk will be held on Friday, October 17th at Forsyth Park. To register, click here. Light The Night Walk events are evenings filled with inspiration. During this leisurely walk, Champions For Cures carry illuminated balloons - white for survivors, red for supporters and gold in memory of loved ones lost to cancer. Thousands of walkers-men, women and children - form a community of caring, and bring light to the dark world of cancer. Friends, families and co-workers form fundraising teams, and millions of consumers help by donating at retail outlets. These efforts culminate in inspirational, memorable evening Walks in nearly two hundred communities each fall across North America. The funds raised by Light The Night participants will help save lives. Join us! For more information, visit: www.lightthenight.org/ga
Pennies for Patients - Every year across the country, kids' voices are heard!
They participate in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's School & Youth Programs like Pennies for Patients and Olive Garden's Pasta for Pennies.
In the past 16 years these kids have shown how powerful they can be by raising more than $233 million to fund breakthrough therapies and patient services.
Kids learn not only about the impact they can have, but they learn about leadership, and what "doing good" for others can mean.

Leukemia Cup Regatta - The Leukemia Cup is an opportunity to make cures happen while enjoying what you love. The Leukemia Cup Weekend of Events evolved as a part of The Leukemia Cup Regatta after the Olympics came to Savannah in 1996. Since 1997, members of the Savannah Yacht Club and the Leukemia Cup Executive Committee have worked tirelessly to expand the Leukemia Cup locally to a community-wide series of premier sporting events to help fight leukemia, lymphoma, and other blood cancers. The Leukemia Cup Series includes a 5k run, golf tournament, in-shore fishing, tennis, regatta and the Spirit of The Sea Black-Tie Dinner & Auction. Spring Events include sporting clays and our unique Yacht Hop. For more information, click here.
Thank you to the members of the Savannah Community who are serving on our 2014 Patient Services Committee. They are:
