Position Title: Administrative Assistant
Location:  Atlanta, Georgia

Basic Function: 

Performs and provides oversight for diverse office functions and support systems for the chapter.  Assistant to the Executive Director and Operations Manager.

Work Direction: Works under the supervision of the Operations Manager or assigned staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and Operations Manger, assisting with accounting processes when needed.  Provide Board support including Board activities, events and committee meetings.
  • Maintain front desk and common areas within the Georgia Chapter.
  • Enter all chapter donations into constituent relationship management database.
  • Process all campaign and donor tax receipts on a weekly basis.
  • Process all Tributes and Memorial donation cards on a weekly basis.
  • Execute standing Matching Gift program for Chapter.  Duties include, but not limited to, processing of matching gifts and reporting.
  • Recruit and manage all office volunteers and interns; manage volunteer data and develop successful volunteer engagement.
  • Assist with year-end appeal process.
  • Provide operational support with all chapter events including campaigns and special events.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Excellent word processing and database management skills.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in business English, spelling, punctuation and grammar.
  • Proficient in basic accounting and bookkeeping skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Knowledge of standard business machines and computers.
  • Professional maturity and judgment.
  • Ability to utilize personal vehicle for out of office events is required.
