Title: Campaign Assistant - Temporary
Location: Based in Wilton, CT or Meriden, CT office with travel throughout the Chapter territory
Summary:  Performs diverse projects and activities for the chapter to support and enhance income production.

Work Direction: Works under the direct supervision and training of the Light the Night Manager
Start: ASAP
End:  November 7th
Hours: Temporary, Full-time, June 16th - November 7th, Monday - Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm, 7 hrs/day, 35 hrs/week

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Administers select on-going programs and/or special projects (e.g. sponsorship recruitment, corporate/foundation prospect identification and cultivation, prize distribution, event press releases, event logistics coordination, etc.)
  • Provides administrative, secretarial and clerical support for special events.
  • Maintains assigned office, program and event records, files and data bases.
  • Prepares event related correspondence and reports.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society mission and its programs to address them.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements: 

  • Fundraising and/or recruiting experience preferred
  • Excellent word processing and database management skills.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in basic accounting and bookkeeping skills.
  • Knowledge of standard business machines and computers.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office, word processing and database management skills
  • Occasional night and weekend hours required - must be available to work Light The Night Kickoff events, Team Captain meetings, and Walks
  • Reliable transportation required

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Physical demands are minimal and typical of similar jobs in comparable organizations
  • Work environment is representative and typical of similar jobs in comparable organizations
  • May be required to move Campaign materials weighing up to 15 pounds for various events.
  • May be required to travel within the Chapter's designated area.
  • May be required to work evenings or weekends.
