The Word:

A Dash of Dream Halloween

Dream Halloween LogoDreamHalloween_Jack

Dream Halloween® was originally established 21 years ago by the Children Affected by AIDS Foundation to impact the lives of children infected with HIV and affected by AIDS. Through the years, the event raised more than $40 million for this purpose. Today, Dream Halloween® has become an event hosted by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and will support the fight against pediatric leukemia. Remarkable strides have been made in the fight against blood cancers, including the research which genetically alters the HIV virus in laboratories allowing it to search out and destroy blood cancer cells in the body while not having any adverse affects to healthy cells.

StephenGlickmanandFishIn the past Dream Halloween® has been an annual Halloween family carnival- type event at Barker Hangar. This year as we transition to our new charity, the event is a bit more tame and intimate as we focus fundraising via the screening of the newly release film, "The Boxtrolls." This small "dash" of Dream Halloween® is designed to let all of our many supporters know that we are still here and still dedicated to helping severely sick children. Next year, we will restore Dream Halloween to its full format!
