School Outreach Assistant (Temporary)

Position Title: School Outreach Assistant (Temporary)

Position Location: Arizona Chapter - Phoenix, AZ

Basic Function:

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Arizona Chapter is seeking part-time school outreach assistant to work 20-25 hours a week assisting the School & Youth program. A clear, concise speaking voice, strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent telephone skills required.  An enthusiastic, sincere, mission-oriented personality is beneficial to the success of the position. 

The individual will be responsible for recruiting Arizona area schools to participate in the Pennies for Patients and Pasta for Pennies programs.  Outreach Assistants help children learn to make a difference in their local community.  The position may last through the end of March 2015.

Work Direction:
Works under the supervision and training of the Campaign Director or assigned staff. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work 20 - 25 hours/week at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's office in Phoenix
  • Communicate with a high volume of schools to get them registered for the Pennies for Patients service project
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the School & Youth Programs, LLS, and its mission
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Phone and database skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
