Cancer patients need our help all year round, but on this day of giving, you can provide special support.

LLS devotes the money we raise to the most promising cancer research of our time and we are making progress. In 2017, we have seen 12 FDA approvals for blood cancer therapies. We have a proven track record in finding cures and ensuring access to treatments. But there is more to be done and we need your help.

Help us celebrate this day of generosity and beginning of the giving season by making a donation.

After experiencing a chronic cough, swollen lymph nodes and other unusual symptoms for more than two years, I went into respiratory failure and ended up in the hospital. Shortly after, I was told I had stage 4 Hodgkin lymphoma and the cancer had spread to every single organ of my body.

I underwent intensive treatment right away, which came with unbearable side effects such as hair loss, nausea, bone pain and severe neuropathy. Every morning, I was grateful to wake up. It’s one thing to lose your physical identity during treatment, but being 29-years-old at the time and having to learn how to walk again was the most heartbreaking.

When I finally found out I was in remission, I immediately called my mom and sobbed into the phone, “Mom, I’m in remission. It’s over!” I have my good days and my bad, but I’ve learned what’s important in life – giving back, being true to myself and sharing my story to create awareness.
